Karthik Marupeddi

Karthik Marupeddi is a Senior Software Engineer at TIGA, The Integration Group of Americas, based in Fort Bend County, Texas. With more than 10 years of experience in software development, he has contributed significantly to the company’s goal of enhancing operational efficiency and safety for industrial sectors. He specializes in systems integration and engineering services, focusing on developing solutions that streamline complex processes in the oil, gas, and energy industries.

Originally from India, Marupeddi moved to the United States 15 years ago to pursue higher education. After completing his Master’s degree, he embarked on a career in software engineering, building on a strong foundation of technical expertise. His career journey has seen him take on various roles, each further honing his skills and helping him make meaningful contributions to the companies he has worked for.

Marupeddi joined TIGA in 2019, where he focused on developing IOps, a software solution that integrates SCADA systems to optimize oil and gas asset management. This platform allows users to monitor and control assets remotely, significantly improving operational efficiency. His work also includes Messenger+, a platform designed to forecast operational challenges such as scheduling and capacity by analyzing client input data. His proficiency with front-end technologies like Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS has ensured that these tools are practical and user-friendly.

Before joining TIGA, Marupeddi worked as a software developer at Verizon Business in Richardson, Texas. In this role, he worked on web-based applications to improve Verizon’s clients' ability to manage services. One of his major projects was the E-Bonding system, which enabled Verizon’s business customers to generate orders, manage trouble tickets, and track inventory. His contributions included developing web services and ensuring seamless data integration across multiple systems, which helped enhance operational efficiency and the customer experience.

After his tenure at Verizon, Marupeddi moved to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, where he worked as a Java Developer. There, he contributed to developing applications such as IBES, e-Verify, and Idalink, which were essential for determining eligibility for various public assistance programs, including food stamps and Medicaid. He applied agile methodologies to improve these applications, ensuring they processed and exchanged data seamlessly across state departments. His work contributed to greater efficiency in delivering services to those in need.

Marupeddi’s career continued at ABB in Sugarland, Texas, where he worked as a software engineer developing the nMarket Suite, a platform used in the energy sector for managing transactions, scheduling, and reporting. His work on this project helped streamline operations for energy companies by providing tools to manage bidding, scheduling, and settlements more effectively.

Marupeddi holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he received a full tuition scholarship and stipend. He also earned a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India. In addition to his academic qualifications, he has earned certifications in Angular 2 and Scrum Product Ownership, helping him stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software engineering.

Outside of work, Marupeddi enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Sravani Rampay, and they have two sons, Eeshan and Ayaan. The family is actively involved in their local community, particularly by participating in the Shirdi Sai Jalaram Mandir, where they donate meals to needy people. He is also a sports enthusiast who enjoys playing badminton and follows football and basketball. He is a fan of the Green Bay Packers in the NFL and the Houston Rockets in the NBA, and he follows the Indian national cricket team closely.
